OTEC welcomes new Communications & Government Relations Specialist
Jim Horan of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has been offered and accepted the position of Communication and Government Relations Specialist. He began his duties and joined the OTEC family on May 21, 2012.
Jim has a Juris Doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law with an emphasis on administrative, business, employment, energy and property/contract law. He has spent the last three years in government and regulatory affairs at a highly regulated company with a national presence. He has extensive experience in working with civic leaders and political groups. Jim has been involved in “think tanks” studying health care, energy, environmental and educational issues and has extensive experience in public speaking, communication, community relations, public policy and public affairs. He is an avid volunteer for Special Olympics and Masters Swimming.
Jim and his wife, Kelly, are excited about moving to Eastern Oregon and love the region, community and culture. Jim’s wife is a special education and elementary school teacher.
