Give the Gift of Power
Baker City, OR – November 16, 2009 – It may not be a “Black Friday” sale, but gift certificates from the Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) make great stocking stuffers.
OTEC reminds members that they can give the gift of power with OTEC Gift Certificates. Steve Schauer, Manager of Member Services, says, “Several years ago we responded to the requests of the membership to offer holiday gift certificates. We did that and went one step further by establishing a program where we offer them year round.”
So, how does the program work? Anyone can purchase a “gift certificate” for a specific OTEC member and have the amount credited directly to that member’s account. To do this the purchaser will need to know the member’s name and service address.
Or, anyone may purchase a traditional gift certificate and give that as a gift to any OTEC member. The recipient will then simply submit the certificate for payment and/or credit of the OTEC bill.
Whether it’s for a family member, friend, neighbor, or an anonymous person in need, OTEC’s gift certificate program is a great way to make this holiday season just that much better.
“This holiday season is the perfect time to give more practical gifts, especially with the current economic challenges faced by many in the OTEC service territory,” suggests Schauer.
To purchase a gift certificate simply call or visit your local OTEC office.
