Can’t Attend OTEC’s Annual Meeting? Watch It LIVE at otecc.com!
Baker City, OR – May 7, 2010 – Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative (OTEC) members who cannot attend OTEC’s Annual Meeting on May 15th in La Grande now have the opportunity to watch it streamed live on OTEC-TV at www.otecc.com.
“The positive feedback we have received about OTEC-TV has prompted us to take it to the next level,” says Michael Howe, OTEC Communications Specialist. “Members can now watch the annual meeting live on the OTEC web site.”
Live coverage of the Annual Meeting will include speeches by David Baum (OTEC Board President), Werner Buehler (OTEC General Manager), and the 2009 Youth Tour participants. Coverage will also include election results and other festivities.
“OTEC-TV, LIVE, is a great way for us to reach all corners of our vast service territory,” says Howe. “There are a number of important issues facing OTEC and the electric utility industry and we see this as just one more opportunity to reach out to as many members as possible.”
OTEC’s annual meeting will be held in La Grande on May 15, 2010, at the Blue Mountain Conference Center and the election winners will be announced at that time. OTEC voting members are able to cast their ballots by mail in April or in person at the annual meeting. If ballots are mailed, they must be received by May 14, 2010.
Live Streaming of the Annual Meeting will be done through OTEC’s UStream.TV channel, but the live video will be placed directly on the OTEC web site’s home page.
